Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and preservation
Compiling the book "Hoi An Cultural Heritage - 25 years of preservation and promotion"
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of UNESCO recognition of Hoi An Ancient Town as a World Cultural Heritage Site (December 4, 1999 - December 4, 2024), with the approval of the Hoi An City People's Committee, Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation will compile and publish the book "Hoi An Cultural Heritage - 25 years of preservation and promotion".
The content of the publication focuses on 3 main topics: 1/ Achievement in preserving and promoting Hoi An cultural heritage in associated with the city's economic - cultural - social development; 2/ New research and awareness of Hoi An history and culture and Hoi An cultural heritage; 3/ Identifying advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges; orientations and solutions for preserving and promoting Hoi An cultural heritage.
The publication not only evaluates the overall achievements and shortcomings in the preservation and promotion for the World Cultural Heritage of Hoi An Ancient Town over the past 25 years; but also drives scientific exchanges in cultural heritage area which may help the local preservation work achieve better results for the next years.
