Faifo Prison is one of the large-scale prisons built by the French colonialists in Quang Nam - Da Nang province in the early 20th century. The prison is where many revolutionary soldiers and patriots from Quang Nam province and other central provinces are imprisoned during the years of resistance against the French such as Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang, Tran Cao Van, Nguyen Thanh, Chau Thuong Van and many other leaders. Many became leaders of the country, talented generals of the Vietnam People's Army, and excellent leaders of central provinces. By 1947, when the French colonialists returned to conquer Hoi An, this prison was completely destroyed. During the resistance war against American imperialism, the lackey government in Quang Nam arranged an Interrogation Center here. Currently, some architectural items of the Interrogation Center still remain here.
