Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and preservation
Collecting images to publish the photo book "Quang Nam past and present"
Implementing Plan No. 128-KH/TU dated July 21, 2023 of the Party Committee of Hoi An city on collecting images for the photo book "Quang Nam – Past and Present", from January to March 2024, Hoi An Center Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation will collect document and images involved with the land and people of Hoi An city and Quang Nam province from 1471 to present. The book will include parts as below:
Economy: Agriculture - forestry - fisheries sectors; industry - services, handicraft, industrial zones/clusters, tourism, traditional craft villages,...
Culture - society: Images of local life such as cuisine and housing; traditional costumes, historical-cultural relics, scenic spots; religion and beliefs; intangible cultural heritage: customs, folk beliefs, costumes, festivals, folk games, literature and art; education, health, sports; science and technology…
Politics: Images related to patriotic movements through historical periods; the process of formation and leadership of the Provincial Party Committee; activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in Quang Nam province,…
National security and defense: Images related to the mission of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland; political security and social safety.
With unique images and information about many fields of Hoi An city in particular and Quang Nam in general, the photo book "Quang Nam past and present" is expected to contribute to introducing and promoting the heritage value of Hoi An Ancient Town to domestic and international friends.
