Students at Hoi An Museum of Traditional Medicine
The museum which was opened to welcome guests from March 15, 2018, is a place to introduce folk knowledge of traditional medicine in Hoi An and Quang Nam.
Students had learned information through artifacts, display models, ask questions to discuss in groups with the guidance of museum staff in order to learn the uses and ways of distinguishing some types of medicinal plants such as: ginger, lemongrass, wormwood, sage, perilla, guava leaves, star fruit leaves, cloves, cinnamon bark... From there, the children might have basic folk knowledge in the treatment of a number of common diseases such as cold, cough, skin rash, back pain, flatulence, cold stomach,... Students were extremely exciting and looked forward to visiting museums more times.
